GOLF COURSE INFORMATION

Your South African Golf Trip will see you play some of the best courses in the world. Imagine the experience of teeing off between wild plains, game, crocodiles, hippos and the likes on the course. You will be treated to a trip of breathtaking sights via the Kruger National Park and get to taste traditional food at the Hlolwa Lodge in Phalaborwa.

A Peter Matkovich design which hosts the Telkom PGA championship. This course in the East of Pretoria is very popular.

  1. Irene Golf Course

 

One of the most beautiful courses in Gauteng. This course played next to the dairy farm gives you that typical country feeling.

  1. Lost City Golf Course

 

Play in between the rocky terrain and mountains of the Sun City Resort. This course with wide fairways and well placed water hazards ensures an enjoyable golfing experience

  1. Gary Player Country Club (Million Dollar Course)

 

This course must be one of the best known courses in South Africa. The course is host to the Nedbank Golf Challenges where you can see some of the best golfers in the world in action. The course plays between the mountains in the African bush.

Played in one of the golf estates in Pretoria this course has some challenging water features.

  1. Nelspruit Golf Course

 

This course is situated in Mpumalanga with beautiful views over the surroundings. This course hosts many indigenous trees and one any nature lover will enjoy.

Located in the Kruger National Park this 9 hole, unfenced course, enable you to play between wild animals roaming the fairways.

SOUTH AFRICAN WEATHER

South Africa boasts a wonderful climate with long hot summers and relativity short winters. A microcosm of the world, Southern Africa’s climates vary from Semi-tropical to Savannah lands, Dry desert regions and rainy forest lands. Spring starts in August with summer extending from late September to March when autumn begins. Winter in South Africa stretches from May – July. Here is what you can expect:

Packing list

  • Bush hat / Sun hat
  • Camera/video camera
  • Binoculars
  • Mobile phones with roaming facility
  • Sun Block – preferably the highest you can get -30+
  • Power adapter- SA standard power is 220 volt
  • Plug adapters
  • Mosquito repellent or Malaria Medication (dependant on the area, we will inform you)
  • Walking boots – please bring ones used before!
  • A comfortable pair of walking sandals will also come in handy
  • A swimming costume
  • Warm hunting jacket
  • Long hunting pants(Camouflage if possible),zip off pants or shorts
  • Wool socks
  • Toiletries

  • Personal medication – if its prescription medicine please ask your doctor for a copy or letter to avoid problems at the immigration check points
